Is your organization struggling to design impactful and meaningful program and product design?

Invisible Light offers custom-designed courses for individuals and organizations seeking to strengthen their ability to embed research into practice and enhance program impact outcomes. We provide a range of training topics offered in 1-day, 1-week, or 7-week formats, delivered in modular sessions typically lasting 1.5 or 3 hours. Each course is custom-tailored to the context, goals, and needs of your organization. Class sizes generally range from 15–30 participants.

Training Topics Include:

  • Context Analysis — Encode local cultural contexts into programming and design interventions that work backward from contexts of conflict to address root causes through culturally appropriate communication and peacebuilding strategies.

  • Conflict Mapping — Identify macro- and micro-level conflict causes and triggers to better inform decision-making and operational interventions.

  • Asset Mapping — Assess existing organizational and community resources that can be leveraged for programming and sustainability.

  • Needs Assessment — Identify and prioritize community needs requiring targeted programmatic attention.

  • Program Development — Design effective, contextually grounded peacebuilding initiatives for specific populations.

  • Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) — Measure program effectiveness, strengthen learning systems, and enhance future impact.

  • Child-Centered Research Methodologies and Design — Apply media, communication, and technology tools to understand children’s media uses and practices, interpretive processes, policy-relevant opinions, and intergroup attitudes.

  • Youth-Centered Research Methodologies and Design — Use participatory, media-based, and technology-enabled approaches to design and implement youth-led peacebuilding programs.
